I don’t know how this happened but I’ve been reading three books. Alternating them each night. This is wild. I’m taking my time and enjoying every moment! Surprisingly I have yet to become confused.

Most recently, I’ve been rather attached to Thomas Tryon‘s first novel. After having seen him in several movies and television series – during the 1960s, and since I own several Tryon, haven’t-read-any-of-them books, I thought I’d read this one. It intrigued me.

“A suspense story, set in a small town in Connecticut much like Wethersfield, where Mr. Tryon grew up, The Other follows the travails of one family, whose members are slowly being killed off. The story examines the relationship between twin brothers — one good, one evil — and the possession of one soul by another.” New York Times’ Obituary of Thomas Tryon published September 05, 1991 – written by Noam S. Cohen (linked here if you‘re interested in reading the piece in it’s entirety. Well worth your time.).

The other two books, of course are: The Curious Mystery of Ms. Lydia Larkin and the Widow Marvell, penned by Joolz Denby which, by the way, is marvelous; and, Remembered Death written by the mystery queen herself, Dame Agatha.

The Whisper of God

"Let us be silent, so that we may hear the whisper of God" Ralph Waldo Emerson ~~~ Several years ago, I started writing down all the amazing ways God used my day to day activities, children, family, friends and nature to teach me. The more I wrote, the more I noticed God in my daily life. It became an exercise of the heart and grew my relationship with Christ in a way I had never experienced. I began to hear God whisper to my heart His desires and lessons for me. I hope that reading some of my stories will encourage you stop and listen for His whisper!
