Books are my inside voice.
They are the places I choose to be.
Photographing the mystical is my outside voice.
They are the places I am.

I live in a small town where everything is accessible within walking distance. A quaint, but fading town nestled between wooded mountains and the Pacific Ocean. I walk through these streets, camera in hand, where even the most mundane becomes magical.

My photographs will begin to appear, here on Wordman, as a refreshing added element between Book Reviews. The light for this inspiration was turned on by the Woodland Gnome on a blog of beauty that found me quite by happenstance. You may view it here

Dear Wordman, I am touched. You have made my day (week, month…) with your kind words. Our world is magical. Beauty surrounds us. I’ve found that photography allows us to see things in ways we ordinarily can not. And in seeing differently, so we also understand the things we see a bit differently. May your photography give you a fresh window into your “outside world” and your “inside world.” I’m so looking forward to seeing through your lens. May all be well with you, Elizabeth/ WG

The Whisper of God

Years ago, I started writing down all the amazing ways God used my day-to-day activities, children, family, and nature to teach me. The more I wrote, the more I noticed our extraordinary God in my everyday ordinary life. It became an exercise of the heart and grew my relationship with Christ in a way I had never experienced. Opening up the Bible daily drew me into His will and wonderful ways. He was no longer a friend of a friend, but my personal friend. I began to hear God whisper His desires and lessons for me. Now, my goal is to encourage women to stop and listen for His whisper in their lives by sharing what God has taught me through my Bible Studies and devotionals.
