Book Two – Young Adult Fantasy

After I left the Hangman, I had no alternative but to return to the 25th hour. The real world is a might too real I’m afraid, and I need to get grounded again. Besides, Candy Quackenbush has been leaving me, oh so many cryptic messages. It seems she needs my help (Malingo, after all, can do only so much). So, for the next few days, here with Clive Barker, I be – headed for limitless horizons.

“Candy and her companions must solve the mystery of her past before the forces of Night and Day clash and Absolute Midnight descends upon the islands. A final war is about to begin. . . . ” Harper Collins Publishers

Since my return into the world of the Abarat  via the paperback, I have since acquired the First Edition hardbacks of the first three books published in the quintet. These include Barker’s amazing colorful drawings throughout, and now that I have the visuals, I am thrilled to see what before was only imagined!

In addition to being a genius author who has a mind’s eye without bounds, Barker is also a gifted artist. He lives in California with seven dogs, three cockatiels, several undomesticated Geckos, an African gray parrot named Smokey, and a yellow headed Amazon parrot called Malingo.

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, (Philippians 2:9 NIV). There is power in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.... to break every chain!

Some Thoughts on the Book of Acts and Pauline Theology

The Whisper of God

"Let us be silent, so that we may hear the whisper of God" Ralph Waldo Emerson ~~~ Several years ago, I started writing down all the amazing ways God used my day to day activities, children, family, friends and nature to teach me. The more I wrote, the more I noticed God in my daily life. It became an exercise of the heart and grew my relationship with Christ in a way I had never experienced. I began to hear God whisper to my heart His desires and lessons for me. I hope that reading some of my stories will encourage you stop and listen for His whisper!
