I’m in Bavaria. The year? 1886. I’m also in 21st century Bavaria – dithering betwixt the two, but preferring the former. It is night here where the charmed live, and I languish to have to tell you that the winter season is waning, and it is the beginning of the end for my King.

Oft times, in the dead of night, I would see him in his horse drawn carriage, sledding across the white land, believing himself to be the Grail King. He lived in his imaginings until they turned against him. Until they brought him down.

Sophisticated plot threads of real life secrecy, places Oliver Potzsch once again in the forefront of clandestine cloak-and-dagger societies and cryptic codes. This author is so exceptional that he manages to keep all the plots delineated one from the other so as not to confuse his reader. In fact, they are sewn together with such finesse that we are hard-pressed to see a seam.

This is an historical thriller that ties together some of the conspiracy theories about the true documented history woven through the fabric of Potzsch’s fiction. They said that King Ludwig killed himself; that he was insane. But a mysterious diary recently found by an antiquarian book seller says otherwise. And so begins our journey between this world and that one. As the rare book dealer attempts to decode the words written by the King’s confidant, we shift back into the time of the King through that diary. The operatic elements allow the reader to move flawlessly into the castles built by Ludwig, where the truth of his death begins to emerge.

If you know the history behind the ‘Mad King’ then you will most assuredly take pleasure in reading this book. If you know nothing about this King …… settle-in because you are in for a grand ride!

The Whisper of God

"Let us be silent, so that we may hear the whisper of God" Ralph Waldo Emerson ~~~ Several years ago, I started writing down all the amazing ways God used my day to day activities, children, family, friends and nature to teach me. The more I wrote, the more I noticed God in my daily life. It became an exercise of the heart and grew my relationship with Christ in a way I had never experienced. I began to hear God whisper to my heart His desires and lessons for me. I hope that reading some of my stories will encourage you stop and listen for His whisper!
