THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK ALBUM

Having recently seen the movie Hitchcock with Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren, I was most interested when I found a copy of this book in my daughter’s guest room.

As the title implies, there are many photographs over which to linger. And I most certainly did. Despite his public film career, Sir Hitchcock was a very quiet and private man. He and his wife of 54 years lived in Bel Air until their deaths in 1980 and 1984 respectively.

Of the approximate 53 films, spanning from 1925 through 1976, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho and The Birds are ‘possibly the most exemplary films he ever made’. This book not only discusses his career, including photographs and interesting tidbits about some of his movies, but gives-up the master of suspense himself. Being a Hitchcockian fan, this biography held my attention and gave me a new found respect for the man behind-the-scenes. Well done Mr. Haley.

The Whisper of God

"Let us be silent, so that we may hear the whisper of God" Ralph Waldo Emerson ~~~ Several years ago, I started writing down all the amazing ways God used my day to day activities, children, family, friends and nature to teach me. The more I wrote, the more I noticed God in my daily life. It became an exercise of the heart and grew my relationship with Christ in a way I had never experienced. I began to hear God whisper to my heart His desires and lessons for me. I hope that reading some of my stories will encourage you stop and listen for His whisper!
