This is a book about the culmination of a 20-year research project between Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. It is a book about epidemiology and the relationship between diet and the risk of developing disease.  Most fascinating.

This is a book that can be read a little here, a little there; or in one sitting. I began my read by flipping through the pages and stopping where a word or scientific graph caught my eye with interest. From there, I just kept reading.

This is a book about the foods we eat. Did you know that plant based foods retard the further growth of a diseased cell, such as cancer, or eradicate it altogether, while animal based foods actually feed diseased cells and help them spread? The scientific studies, as outlined in this book, are impressive and will have you looking at the foods you eat in an entirely different light.

This is the book to read if you want to live a long life.

The Whisper of God

"Let us be silent, so that we may hear the whisper of God" Ralph Waldo Emerson ~~~ Several years ago, I started writing down all the amazing ways God used my day to day activities, children, family, friends and nature to teach me. The more I wrote, the more I noticed God in my daily life. It became an exercise of the heart and grew my relationship with Christ in a way I had never experienced. I began to hear God whisper to my heart His desires and lessons for me. I hope that reading some of my stories will encourage you stop and listen for His whisper!
